Bay gelding by Makfi out of Alta Definizione. His sire Makfi was the winner of the 2000 Guineas in 2010. Kannapolis showed plenty of ability as a two year old but was always going to be better as a three year old over a longer distance. He won for the first time at Beverley in June 2018 when he powered up the hill to take a competitive handicap. He was a winner in October 2019 when he won over ten furlongs on the all weather at Newcastle.
Kannapolis was sold out of the yard at Tattersalls Autumn Sale 2019 to Highflyer Bloodstock and T Lawes for 25,000 guineas.
