Two Brothers got off the mark over hurdles at Carlisle this afternoon where he took the Racing Post+ Handicap Hurdle under Patrick Wadge.

The son of Sir Percy had previously won five times on the flat, most recently at York in 2024, and had shown enough over timber in two races at Wetherby to suggest that he could add to his tally under National Hunt rules.

Two Brothers raced with a set of cheekpieces to help him concentrate and it did the trick as he was locked in a battle with Ryebridge, to whom he was conceding eight pounds. He was returned at odds of 10/1.

You can watch the race here.
