Rose's Dart was a winner at Market Rasen this afternoon, taking the Copybet Novices' Handicap Hurdle ridden by Jamie Hamilton.

The daughter of Dartmouth raced in third place for most of the race, but hit the third last hurdle before moving up into second place two out. After a home straight battle with Natus Vincere she wore down the odds on favourite to score by a length and a quarter. The victory marked a first career success for the five-year-old mare, who was carrying the colours of owner/breeder Falcon Line Ltd. Rose's Dart becomes the second winner to be bred from dam Pepite Rose, who was herself a nine-time winner and placed in the Grade 1 bet365 Celebration Chase back in 2014. A classy racemare she was rated 157 at her peak.

Rose's Dart was led in by Parthena, who rides her at home, and it was a very proud moment as she also collected the best turned out prize.

You can watch the race on Racing TV.
