We head for Beverley on Tuesday where we have four runners on the afternoon card.
Edens Choice is first up as she takes her place in the 'Here Come The Girls EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes'. Ninth on her debut here last month she takes a step up in trip from five to seven and a half furlongs. Edens Choice is by Magna Grecia who was himself a miler and his prodigy's highest percentage wins to runs ratio is at seven to nine furlongs. Only five go to post for the race with
Private Project looking a promising sort having finished runner up at Lingfield on his sole start. Of the newcomers Intimation is a half-sister to Group 2 Al Rayyan Mile winner Nuance and to Inquisition who won at Wolverhampton last week.
Shimmering Sands will be ridden by Joanna Mason in the 'Steve Brooks 70th Birthday Handicap'. He was keen and ran too freely at York last time and was treated for post-race heat stress afterwards. He needed a long rest and wash down before heading back to the racecourse stables. Top weight
Gincident looks the one to beat having posted two wins and four places in his six races this year. He was runner up last week at York and six lengths ahead of Shimmering Sands, although our horse is five pounds better off at the weights with Gincident this time.
Draupnir will have his third racecourse outing in the 'Big Racing Weekender Next 4 And 5 July Restricted Maiden Stakes'. He finished tenth at Doncaster last time out and Billy Garritty takes over in the saddle. The race standard is set by the Charlie Johnston-trained Special Ghaiyyath who has seven runs under his belt and a current BHA rating of 76.
Last up is Nippasso in the 'Racing TV Extra On racingtv.com Handicap'. She will step up to ten furlongs after finishing fourth at Carlisle last time. Nippasso's dam Chip N Pin was a winning point-to-pointer and she's likely to be the sort to need a trip. Despite the race being a handicap the nine runners have raced a combined total of 74 times without any of them recording a victory so one is going to become a first time winner here.
